“A great evening with the Danube Folk Ensemble”
Reviewed October 16, 2012
Danube Palace or Duna Palota is located just behind the grand Gresham Palace Four Seasons Hotel. Its a short walk from the Chain bridge and is this beautifully appointed venue. There is a grand staircase that led us to the main auditorium with painted ceilings and walls. Its not as grand as some of the theatres in London but nevertheless is very atmospheric.
We saw the highly entertaining Hungarian Folklore by The Danube Folk Ensemble. Energetic dances including the sword dance and dance with objects and ending with ballroom dance. The lead violinist was absolutely superb. Highly recommended and would love to see the ensemble again sometime.
